Bodha’s commitment to quality extends to all aspects of design and production.

Our range is made in New Zealand by people we know. We work closely with our team through every stage from design to sampling, testing, and final production.

Our highly skilled team includes a pattern-maker, sample machinist and boutique factory that has specialised in stretch fabrics for over 80 years. 

Natural fabrics

Fabric choices are integral to the Bodha experience. We only use the highest quality natural fabrics made from wood, cotton and wool, blended with a small quantities of lycra for extra movement, comfort and shape retention.

The beauty of natural fabrics is without comparison. Classic, understated and chic, natural fabrics embody a timeless quality. The inherent characteristics of natural fibres work in harmony with your skin, allowing it to breathe and function normally.

Cotton
Cotton is one of the most ancient and basic fibres and is renowned for its cooling, breathable and hypoallergenic qualities. Our luxurious soft cotton fabric is 200 grams per square meter, a perfect weight all year round.

Wood
Our wood based fabric is soft and silky with a beautiful drape. It is strong, breathable and naturally moisture wicking. Made from naturally regenerating forests, using the latest 99% closed-loop technology, it is biodegradable and one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics available in the world.

Wool
Our wool fabric is made using merino fibers producing a finer, softer fabric than traditional wool. Merino offers amazing lightweight natural warmth that layers easily, breathes and is antimicrobial. 

Fabric care

Bodha is made from high quality luxurious natural fabrics made of wood, cotton and wool.

To look after and extend the life of your Bodha garments
- wash garments inside out on a cold cycle
- dry garments in the shade or on a low heat setting in your dryer
- use gentle fabric detergents (ideally environmentally friendly - we love soapnuts and B_E_E products)

Each garment comes with its own care instructions depending on the fabric/s used – please see these instructions for additional detail.

Please be aware that natural fabrics can shrink up to 5% with washing.  

Sizing

The Bodha range is fitted to regular Australian/New Zealand sizes. If a product is cut slim or relaxed we will let you know in the product description.

All of our fabrics have a small amount of lycra in them. This means they will adapt to your body shape while allowing for movement.

Please be aware that natural fabrics can shrink up to 5% with washing.
